Killer Contact – TV Series. 2013 –

They try to solve these cold cases by the only method they know; gathering evidence with the help of the supernatural using their technical ghost hunting equipment and role-playing scenarios to communicate with them.

Review: Being an enthusiast for good Paranormal Shows (such as Ghost Adventures, and Ghost Lab), I dove right in for this one, expecting to see a new show that had the merit to go a long way…. How wrong I was with this one… Killer Contact is a new paranormal show on Syfy.
Thankfully, we are only subjected to 6 episodes of this “pearl”, and one can only hope that there will not be a “season 2”. In the season premiere, the “team” head off to jolly ol’ London to solve the mystery of “who is Batman“… Errr, I mean “who was Jack The Ripper“…A riddle that has eluded investigators and Scotland Yard for a good 125 years. But, lo and behold, these “eager young Ghost Hunting cadets” manage to solve this age old mystery in the span of 2 days. (yeah okay). But, there is more. We were briefly treated to see Molly “trying to seduce Jack”, which was quite laughable. Seriously girl, if you want to seduce Jack The Ripper, wouldn’t it make sense to be dressed in Victorian Era clothing, and NOT in one of your skirts that you obviously hit the club scene every weekend in?
The 2nd episode the team head off to Transylvania, to investigate the legend of Dracula. I admit I fell asleep after the 30 minute mark, but I did stay awake long enough to see Greg yell and scream like an idiot to try and lure Vlad out of hiding. Seriously, IF Vlad is still haunting the castle, I seriously doubt he would understand a word of English, unless he has been attending English classes in the afterlife…
I doubt if I will watch the 3rd episode, based on what I have seen so far. I have seen some good Paranormal shows, and I have seen bad ones. But this one falls into the category of L for Lame.
My advice. Switch over to GAC instead. More entertaining 🙂
