Sharknado 2: The Second One – Movie Review

Sharknado 2: The Second One
Stars: Tara Reid, Ian Ziering
Director: Anthony C. Ferrante
IMDB Rating: 4.9

Plot: A freak weather system turns its deadly fury on New York City, unleashing a Sharknado on the population and its most cherished, iconic sites – and only Fin and April can save the Big Apple.

Sharknado 2

: Sharks… What’s worse than getting attacked by sharks in the ocean? Getting attacked by flying sharks! This film seemed to have it all. Three twisters bear down on NYC, stereotypical New Yorkers (play ball!), and sharks!

This B-grade movie was entertaining to say the least, and Ian Zieling’s “shark walk” was priceless… even if it was “borrowed” from a scene from “Live And Let Die” (Except in the Bond film, good ol’ James runs across crocs).

The acting was nothing to write home about, and it probably won’t win an Oscar, but the references to other films (Twilight Series, Terror At 40,000 Feet, Taxi, Airplane) and the cameos from the likes of Judd Hirsch, Kurt Angle made this brilliant! I can only imagine how many outtakes/bloopers they got making this 🙂

If B-Grade films are your thing, then get down and watch this one.

Verdict: Shark soup anyone? 🙂
My Rating: 7.4 out of 10.
