Avengers Grimm: Time Wars (2018)
Stars: Lauren Parkinson, Elizabeth Eileen, Marah Fairclough, Christina Licciardi, Michael Marcel,
Director: Maximilian Elfeldt
Writer: Jeremy M. Inman (screenplay)
Plot: Unhappy being ruler of the Underworld, Rumpelstiltskin frees himself and goes into hiding, making plans to take over Earth once and for all. As the Avengers Grimm fight to stop him, they quickly discover it’s not where Rumpelstiltskin is hiding, but when, forcing our heroes to fight through the ages.
Review: Every writer knows that the first rule of being a writer is read over your own work, then edit and change as necessary. However, in the case of this film, I do think that the writer and director missed a lot.
I wonder if the writer and the director got together for a basic script read and wondered to themselves, “Do we or don’t we?”
This is one of those scenarios where they should have reviewed the script and diced it completely.
Where can I begin? The acting was lame, the Director was obviously asleep at the wheel, and I cannot image how in hell this POC got funded. Then again, this “Masterpiece of crap” does come from the gang at The Asylum, so what else can we expect….
I know that this was released to “try” and capitalize on Avengers: Infinity War, but .. Well, what can I say here? Maybe they should have stopped with the first installment, rather than carry on the charade of bad acting and bad directing.
Verdict: No. Not just no, but, Hell No!

Avengers Grimm (2015)
Stars: Casper Van Dien, Rileah Vanderbilt, Milynn Sarley, Lauren Parkinson, Marah Fairclough, Lou Ferrigno
Plot: When Rumpelstiltskin destroys the Magic Mirror and escapes to the modern world, the four princesses of “Once Upon a Time”-Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Rapunzel-are sucked through the portal too. Well-trained and endowed with magical powers, the four women must fight Rumpelstiltskin and his army of thralls before he enslaves everyone on Earth.
Review: Avengers Grimm…. At first thought, one can be forgiven to think that this film would be some kind of crossover between the Avengers Movies and the TV show Grimm.
At least that is what I thought, until I started watching this.
Casper Van Dien stars as the main villain, Rumpelstiltskin. To cut a very long story short, he transports himself and Snow White (Lauren Parkinson) through the magic mirror to the modern world and ends up being the mayor of some city, with everyone under his spell… Hmmm.. Along for the chase through time is Rapunzel (Rileah Vanderbilt), Cinderella (Milynn Sarley) and Sleeping Beauty (Marah Fairclough) . They team up with Red Riding Hood to defeat Rump and his legion of slaves.
Interesting concept for a movie. I will say the title and movie poster was more appealing than the actual movie, hence why after 30 minutes of this I switched it off. I can only imagine the number of outtakes this film has, with each of the actors trying to take their role seriously. 🙂
As far as B-Grade flicks go, this was okay, but there are better B flicks to see.
Verdict: A Grimm movie indeed! 🙂
